Criminal Justice

Department Overview
The Associate in Criminal Justice program is designed to provide a solid grounding in basic skills essential to success in both academic work and criminal justice occupations. The criminal justice system provides employment opportunities in a variety of public agencies at all levels of government, and in private agencies. A mandatory work-based learning (internship) experience connects criminal justice theory and practice. A student who plans to transfer to a specific four-year school should check with that school to determine specific transfer requirements. Students wanting to obtain an AA-DTA degree must fulfill all Associate of Arts degree requirements. See AA-DTA degree brochure for details.
